After severe arthritis left Ms. Amelia using a wheelchair, she spent nearly two years unable to move freely through much of her home or safely get outside. With the help of close friends, she connected with Operation Home and received a new wheelchair ramp. The ramp has given Ms. Amelia greater freedom to attend appointments, reconnect with her community, and remain in the home she has loved for decades. In her words, Operation Home became her “key to freedom,” helping her feel alive again.
