Operation Home is committed to ensuring that no person is forced to live in a home that is inaccessible or unsafe. Our work focuses on the people who need us the most: households that contain children, a person with a disability, or an older adult. In 2010, we will answer the call of over 150 families in need.
In 2009, 40 homes were served through the Home Repair Program; 56 families were assisted through the Heat Relief Program; 19 families were assisted through the Cold Relief Program. 23 volunteer teams helped us make critical repairs to the homes of the people who need it the most.
On his 11th birthday, Raequon woke up and told his mother, Althea, that the gift he wanted more than anything was the ability to bathe himself without worrying that he would fall, as he had done before when-wanting independence- he got into the shower without telling his mother and slipped.

Operation Home needs volunteers to help us make critical home repairs for the Lowcountry’s most vulnerable residents.
